- Ages: 3–6 yrs · Difficulty: easy · Mess: medium
- Time: prep 15 min, activity 20 min
- Works for: one-on-one, small group, whole class
- Skills: fine-motor, art, creativity
- Cautions: ingestion-risk

## Materials (one batch)
- 1 sheet Black construction paper, cut into mummy (person) shapes
- 2 piece Googly eyes
- White glue
- 1 piece Squeeze bottle for the glue
- 1 piece Scissors (household)
- Marker or crayon (optional) (household)
- White acrylic paint (optional)

## Substitutions
- Instead of glue: Regular glue mixed with white acrylic paint (Gives white bandages if your glue dries clear.)
- Instead of squeeze bottle: The glue's own bottle (Works, but the flow is less smooth than from a squeeze bottle.)

## Safety
- Googly eyes are small parts and a choking hazard. Supervise closely, especially with kids who still mouth things.
- Adult cuts out the mummy shapes ahead of time.
- Glue and acrylic paint are not food. Keep them away from mouths and wash hands after the craft.

## Before you start
- Cut mummy (person) shapes from black construction paper.
- Fill a squeeze bottle with glue and set out googly eyes.

## Steps
1. Set out the mummy cut-outs, googly eyes and the glue squeeze bottle.
2. Stick two googly eyes on each mummy's head.
3. Draw eyelashes or other details on your mummy if you like.
4. Squeeze lines of glue back and forth across the mummy to make bandages.
5. Keep going until the head, arms and legs are all wrapped in glue lines.
6. Leave the mummies flat to dry.

## Tips
- The flow from squeeze bottles is so much smoother than from the glue bottle itself. The lines are cleaner, and it's easier for little ones to feel in control.
- This craft was clearly for fun and not for saving. To keep it, use a glue that dries white, not clear.
- You can add white acrylic paint to regular glue to get white mummy bandages.

Time for another [**Halloween craft**](https://www.funlittles.com/category/halloween/) kids will enjoy! This time we have yet another mummy craft. Although this time this activity is a artsy craft with glue. I cut out mummy shapes with black construction paper and set out googly eyes along with glue in a squeeze bottle.

We started off with sticking the googly eyes to the mummies.

We always make sure we have 3 girls and 1 boy in our crafts! That's her drawing eye lashes on her mummies.

Then time to go to town with glue. The flow from the squeeze bottles are so much smoother than the flow from the glue bottle itself. The lines are cleaner and it is easier for little ones to feel they are in control of the bottle.

Our glue mummy family!

This Halloween craft/art was clearly for fun and not for saving. If you intend to save it there are a few things you can do

- **Use a type of glue that dries white and not clear**
- **You can add white acrylic paint to regular glue**
- **Once you get a white glue mummy, make holes and create a mummy garland for your mantle**
