Compare and contrast fall and spring through art and printing: a fall tree with red, orange and yellow printed leaves, and a spring meadow of printed dot flowers. The full how-to was TurkeyMom's guest post at B-Inspiredmama.

⚠️ Safety first

  • Use washable, non-toxic kids' paint and supervise young children while they paint.

Steps

  1. Talk with the kids about how fall and spring look different.

  2. Paint a brown tree trunk and branches on a sheet of paper.

  3. Print leaves in red, orange and yellow around the branches for fall.

  4. On a second sheet, print rings of colored dots to make spring flowers.

  5. Draw green stems and grass under the flowers.

  6. Add a sun and the ground, then let both pictures dry.

  7. Put the two pictures side by side and compare the seasons.
