- Ages: 2–6 yrs · Difficulty: easy · Mess: high
- Time: prep none, activity varies
- Works for: one-on-one, small group, whole class
- Skills: sensory-exploration, fine-motor, pretend-play, pre-writing

## Materials (one batch)
- Insta-Snow (store-bought fake snow powder) (optional)

## Safety
- Not every pretend snow is taste-safe: soap, shaving foam and baking soda snows aren't for kids who still mouth materials. Pick an edible version for babies and young toddlers, and supervise.
- Coconut snow: check for coconut allergies first.

- Each base ingredient has extension ideas, like snow writing, an I-Spy game or snow dough, so one batch can carry several play sessions.
- Kids in places that rarely see snow can try out all kinds of 'snow'. (from readers)
