Tape together three precut foam bunny shapes to make a cute stand-up 3D bunny, then draw on a face and feet for pretend play. A second taping method makes a hopping bunny.

⚠️ Safety first

  • The marker in the photos is a permanent marker, which can stain skin and clothes. Use a washable black marker for younger kids, or have an adult help.
  • If you use shredded paper Easter grass for display, keep it away from toddlers and babies, who may mouth it.

Before the kids arrive

  • Pick up precut foam bunny cutouts, 3 per child (plus a few spares).
  • Optional: watch the tutorial video so you can demo the taping, including the hopping bunny version.

Steps

  1. Set out 3 foam bunny cutouts, clear tape and a black marker for each child.

  2. Roll a piece of clear tape into a loop, like you do on a wrapped present, and stick it on the back of one bunny.

  3. Place a second bunny the opposite way on the tape and press the two together to make the body.

  4. Take the third bunny for the head and draw on eyes, a nose and whiskers.

  5. Place the head on the body and tape it in place.

  6. For more detail, draw small lines on the feet.

  7. Stand your 3D bunnies up and use them for pretend play.
