- These are real foods meant to be eaten. Check every child's allergies before making or sharing any treat with a group, and follow your school's food policy.
- An adult handles the oven, stovetop, microwave and anything hot.
- Small candies, marshmallows, jelly beans and lollipops can be choking hazards for young children. Supervise closely and seat kids while they eat.
- Lollipop and cake-pop sticks: kids should sit while eating, not walk or run.
- Some ideas use non-food decorations such as googly eyes, paper or plastic cups and eggs. Remove them before eating.
