Steps

  1. Draw a rainbow outline on the canvas and write the color names in order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink.

  2. Spell out each color together as you write it, and sing a rainbow song to remember the order.

  3. Brush glue between the lines of the first band.

  4. Stick the matching color chips onto the glue.

  5. Keep going band by band until the rainbow is filled in.

  6. Glue cotton balls at the ends of the rainbow to make clouds.

  7. Color a cloud blue with dot markers.

  8. Let it dry and put it up for display.

rainbow canvas I drew a rainbow outline and named the colors in the order. We spelled out the colors as we wrote them and sang our favorite rainbow song as we tried to remember the order.
